A struggle that lasted a 1,000 days seems to have finally met its well-earned , rightful conclusion .The cast, crew and director of Aaranya Kaandam, recently met up with members of the press at an event to announce the films victorious return. The movie, which was hailed by critics as a breathe of fresh air in Indian cinema and had bagged the prestigious honour of Best Film at the South Asian International Film Festival, had come under fire from the censors, who had raised objections to the gritty nature of the film.
Having been cleared off to the satisfaction of the crew, the team is super charged and raring to go.
Clearly heaving a sigh of relief post the labour pangs, producer SP Charan says, In 2008, wed held a press meet to announce the commencement of the shoot. And its my utmost pleasure to be able to announce its completion, even though it took us some time.
He goes on to add, The nine months of labour is most cherished when the baby is born. And thats exactly how all of us are feeling right now. The director of the film is being spoken about on a national level, and even on international platforms. We have very high hopes for the film.
