Thalapathy Vijay Speech: From Ajith to IT raid - Highlights of Vijay's speech at the 'Master' audio launch

The much anticipated event, the audio launch of 'Master', took place in a grand way in Chennai last evening, and it's been the talk of the town in Kollywood. Most of the cast and crew of 'Master', including the lead actors Vijay, Vijay Sethupathi, Malavika Mohanan as well as director Lokesh Kanagaraj and music director Anirudh Ravichander amongst others were present at the event. And while everyone’s presence was much looked forward to, the highlight of the event were Thalapathy Vijay's speech and his Kutti Story song which fans had been waiting to hear from the star in person.From Ajith to Kutti Story, here are the highlights of the star's speech at the audio launch of 'Master'.

Actor Vijay entered on the stage with the music of the 'Vaathi Coming' song from the film. The actor also summoned his co-star Shanthanu Bhagyaraj and music director Anirudh Ravichander on to the stage and began dancing with them to the tunes of the 'Vaathi Coming'.

Actor Vijay then thanked the evergreen actress of Kollywood Simran for her special performance at the event. Vijay and Simran are one of the most loved on-screen pairs in Kollywood, and they have shared screen space in six films namely 'Nerukku Ner', 'Once More', 'Thulladha Manamum Thullum', 'Priyamanavale', 'Youth' and 'Udhaya'.

The event made headlines yesterday as fans were not allowed for the audio launch owing to the problems that had happened during the audio launch of Vijay’s last film 'Bigil' and also to avoid a large gathering because of the spreading Coronavirus. So with regards to this context, Vijay apologised to fans for failing to make the event big and also confessed that he had in fact agreed to be a part of the show only half-heartedly.

Vijay praised Rockstar Anirudh Ravichander for his compositions and mentioned that he was glad to have teamed up with the composer for the second time after 'Kaththi'. Vijay also admitted that he was pleasantly surprised that Vijay Sethupathi had accepted to play an antagonist in the film, and shared that Vijay Sethupathi was very fond of him (Vijay). Vijay then asked Malavika Mohana to do more films in Tamil. He also wished Shanthanu good luck for reaching high positions and said that he is always in his prayers.

During the launch, Vijay also mentioned how he was in awe of director Lokesh Kanagaraj’s work and shared some funny moments working with the director for 'Master'. Vijay was very comfortable working with Lokesh Kanagaraj and his young team for the film and also attributed the director’s hard and smart work to his success.

During his speech, Vijay compared human life with a river and the different types of welcomes a river gets from people. Vijay then asked fans to face negativity with the thought ‘Kill them with your success and bury them with your smile’. Then he finished his speech by saying we have to be quiet sometimes when we know we are right.

Vijay named his costume designer Pallavi as the reason for rocking the coat at the audio launch, and he expressed his wish to acquire a dressing sense like his friend and popular actor Thala Ajith. These words of Vijay made fans cheer out loud since Ajith has always been portrayed as Vijay’s rival in the industry. When the host asked Vijay what he missed from his times from 20 years back, he said that he wanted the peace that he had 20 years ago without any stress about IT raids. At the same time, he added that it was quite amusing to have these stressful moments in life as well. Vijay also took the opportunity to send a kiss back to his co-star Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi, who had famously kissed Vijay on the cheek on the sets of 'Master' a few weeks ago.
