Tamil Film Producer Council dismiss plagiarism case against 'Jawaan'

Popular Tamil director Atlee is making his Bollywood entry with his next directorial 'Jawaan' starring Shah Rukh Khan in the lead role. A plagiarism case was filed against Atlee recently over 'Jawaan' at the Tamil Film Producer Council. Now, the latest update on the case is that the Tamil Film Producer Council has dismissed the plagiarism case against 'Jawaan'. A Tamil filmmaker Manickam Narayanan claimed the 'Jawaan' story and the 2006 Tamil film 'Perarasu' are the same and filed a complaint against the director. Tamil Film Producer Council (TFPC), who investigated the case had earlier asked Manickam Narayanan for proof of his complaint. Accordingly, in the investigation, it has been proved that the 'Jawaan' and 'Perarasu' stories are not the same, and dismissed the case.

It's a relief for Atlee and his 'Jawaan' team as the plagiarism case gets dismissed. The shooting of'Jawaan' is progressing steadily and the film is slated to release on June 2, 2023.

Shah Rukh Khan is said to be playing a dual role, while Deepika Padukone, Nayanthara, Yogi Babu, and Priyamani among others play important roles. Anirudh Ravichander is scoring the music, and the popular composer from the South is also making his Bollywood debut with the film. The makers have earlier published a stunning teaser of 'Jawaan' to stir up the buzz for the film, and Shah Rukh Khan was spotted in a fierce avatar.
