Suriya to join hands with Lokesh Kanagaraj for a fantasy entertainer?

Actor Suriya, who was last seen in ‘Thaana Serntha Kootam’, is now busy with multiple projects. However, the actor's fans are in for a massive treat as his first release this year will be with ace director Selvaraghavan’s ‘NGK – Nandha Gopala Kumaran’ which is expected to hit the screens on May 31 and his second release, KV Anand's 'Kaappaan' on August 30.
Following these two projects, Suriya has an interesting line-up of films like 'Yaanai' with Hari and he is also acting in 'Soorarai Pottru' directed by Sudha Kongara of 'Irudhi Suttru' fame. The film is touted to be the biopic of Air Deccan founder GR Gopinath. Suriya had also recently signed the next production venture of Studio Green, directed by Siva who recently delivered 'Viswasam' which was a blockbuster with Ajith.
Now the latest news making rounds is that the actor-turned-producer Suriya will be teaming up with director Lokesh Kanagaraj of 'Managaram' fame, who is reported to direct Ilayathalapathy Vijay's next tentatively titled 'Thalaapathy 64' which is said to be a gangster drama. The young director has also impressed Suriya with his script and the film is touted to be a fantasy entertainer on the lines of the comic superhero Steel Claw.
Meanwhile, on the directorial front, director Lokesh has just wrapped 'Kaithi', which is in post-production phase featuring Karthi in the lead. However, an official confirmation is yet to be made regarding this project.
