Suriya requests fans to shy away from protests

After the derogatory video of VJs Sangeetha and Nivedhitha demeaning actor Suriya went viral, many of the actor’s fans criticised the VJs on social media. Early in the day, thousands of Suriya fans gathered in front of Sun TV office to protest against the VJs for demeaning the actor on their show ‘Franka Sollata’.The latest news is that Suriya has posted a tweet pacifying his fans and requesting them not to pay attention to such unprofessional behaviour. The tweet which was in Tamil can be roughly translated to as, “We don’t have to bring down our image to protest against such meaningless criticism. Instead you can devote your time and energy to something that would benefit the society.”
