which was held in the city on Sunday evening. The Superstar spoke in length about the film’s director, Sivakumar, Mohanlal, Harris Jayaraj,
Suriya and Karthi. He appreciated Suriya for the latter’s tweet on the education policy which was in the news for the controversy it courted. The Petta star opined that Mohanlal is the most natural actor in the country and went on to say that
Harris Jayaraj is a mix of Ilaiyaraaja and AR Rahman. Rajini, who shared some interesting anecdotes about his past experiences with Sivakumar, said Suriya and Karthi were different with regard to their debut in filmdom as actors.
“There was a time I wondered how Suriya is going to survive because he didn’t seem to be comfortable with acting initially, on contrary to Karthi, who made heads turn with his debut vehicle Paruthiveeran. But thanks to his dedication and constant effort, Suriya became a self-made actor. His films like Nandha, Pithamagan, Kaaka Kaaka, Ghajini, etc, were celebrated by people later.”
