'Madharaasi' featuring Sivakarthikeyan is the next big release in Tamil, and the expectations are high among the audience. AR Murugadoss's directorial is slated to release on September 5, and the film will have a grand pan-Indian release. The grand audio launch of the film happened in Chennai on August 24 at a private college, and the event boosted the film's buzz. Here is a look at some major highlights from the event.

AR Murugadoss, the director of 'Madharaasi' said that “I have acted in small cameo roles in all three Vijay films that I have directed before. I felt a similar special feeling when I worked with Sivakarthikeyan. That is why I appeared in a scene in ‘Madharaasi’ too. Many people are talking about the scene where Sivakarthikeyan is given a gun. In fact, we planned that scene while we were still in the production of the film. Now it's so hyped. You'll see the film and you'll realize how strong he's holding that gun.” During the filming in Sri Lanka, a storm hit, knocking down cranes, lights, and a drone camera. DOP Sudeep's finger was severed while trying to save it. He was taken to the hospital, and the crew's efforts helped reattach his middle finger.
