Sarath Kumar who has played the lead role in Chennaiyil Oru Naal that released recently seems to have been shocked by reports saying that the Tamil Nadu government denied entertainment tax sops for the film just because the title cards carried a thanks note for Sun TV. The actor has denied it and has said that the film has been granted exemption from entertain tax.Sarath Kumar who is also the president of the Nadigar Sangam also said the he was shocked on hearing the rumour and is ready to show the documents regarding entertainment tax exemption anywhere anytime. Sarath said "I don���t know how it appeared in the press that the film has been denied tax exemption. The fact of the matter is that the State government had granted tax exemption to it long back. I have all the documentary proof in support of this. I appeal to you to publish news items only after verifying the genuineness of them!"
