Rajinikanth's 'Petta' to hit the screens for Pongal

' with director Karthik Subbaraj is progressing at a brisk pace, the latest news is that the film is being planned to hit the screens for Pongal in January 2019. Being made on a massive scale, the project is funded by Sun Pictures and has an ensemble cast that includes Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Trisha Krishnan, Simran, Vijay Sethupathi, Bobby Simha, Munishkanth, Sanath Reddy and Megha Akash.

Actor Bobby Simha, was spotted at a popular multipex watching his latest release, 'Saamy Sqauare' with the audience. Bobby Simha revealed that 'Petta' will hit the screens for Pongal, when a fan quizzed him about the Rajinikanth starrer.

Vijay Sethupathi will be seen as the prime antagonist in the film, which has music by Anirudh Ravichander, who is working with Rajinikanth and Subbaraj for the first time. Rajinikanth is currently in Lucknow shooting for ‘Petta’.
