breathed her last yesterday at 11:00 PM in Apollo Hospital, Bangalore due to kidney failure. Kalavathi's (72) health deteriorated in the past few days as she suffered from prolonged sugar and kidney issues.

The news came as a shocker to the entire family and Rajnikanth headed to Bangalore as soon as he heard about the demise.
