'Parasakthi' budget and pre-release business: Sivakarthikeyan and Ravi Mohan to Sreeleela's salary revealed
‘Parasakthi,’ starring Sivakarthikeyan, Ravi Mohan, Atharvaa, and Sreeleela, is one of the most-anticipated films to be shown this season. Because of the film's release on large festive occasions, there is a massive experience. The thrilling storyline, rocking action sequences, and visuals from the 1960s have created a lot of hype about the movie. The collections are eagerly awaited by the trade and the audience, hoping for a massive breakout from Sivakarthikeyan.
The budget of the movie at Rs.141.50 crores speaks for itself; the film invested Rs.75.70 crores on the cast and crew. Sivakarthikeyan bagged Rs.30 crores and a profit share, Ravi Mohan Rs.16 crores, and director Sudha Kongara Rs.15 crores. The supporting actors were Atharvaa and Sreeleela, at Rs.2 crores and Rs.1 crore, respectively. The camera people, like the mentioned famous cameraman Ravi K. Chandran, had to work for Rs.2 crores, and the art director needed Rs.70 lakhs. Others cast and crew pack in Rs5 crores and more. All these amounts and more were exchanged as taxes as reported by Valai Pechu.
Production and shooting expenses: Rs53 crore (Rs30 crore for 83-day shoot, Rs10 crore for the overseas Sri Lanka schedule with elaborate train fight sequences and additional shoots, Rs8 crore for period sets in the 1960s, and Rs5 crore for CGI). Promotion costs: Rs7 crore (includes audio launch of Rs3 crore, World of Parasakthi exhibition of Rs1.30 crore, VPF of Rs1.50 crore for Tamil Nadu, and Rs1.2 crore for other publicity). These ensure maximum exposure in the market, both on theatrical and on digital platforms.
Theatrical business is well planned with its own release in Tamil Nadu and advanced selling in Kerala (Rs1.50 cr) and Karnataka (Rs3.25 cr), plus Rs20 cr from overseas theatrical rights. Non-theatrical rights—audio (Rs13 cr), digital (Rs40 cr), satellite (Rs30 cr)—make for a pre-release recovery of Rs107.75 cr. With these kinds of pre-release numbers, #Sivakarthikeyan's 'Parasakthi' will surely be his biggest blockbuster, with a great critical response and great profits.
