A new still from the sets of Vikram's upcoming film
Cobra has sent the actor's fans into a tizzy. The photo, which is a behind-the-scenes still taken during the filming of the action thriller, directed by
Ajay Gnanamuthu
, has
Vikram sitting in front of the mirror in his dressing room (with partial makeup) and the director standing behind him and explaining a shot to the actor.
Ajay Gnanamuthu has shared this working still on his Instagram page. The Imaikkaa Nodigal filmmaker wrote on his page, "Inching very closer to the normal times again!! Can’t wait to get back to work!!" (sic)
Following the director's posting of this still, Vikram fans have been raving about their Chiyaan taking pains to get into the character. "HardWork + Dedication = Shhhhh!!!! #Cobra #ChiyaanVikram," tweeted fan Senthil Mareley, while another fan handle, MohanLal, wrote, "King OF Cinema.!!! Dedication Level"
Cobra is one of the high-profile Tamil releases that fans are looking forward to seeing on the big screen this year. In fact, in April, earlier this year, when a social media user had claimed that a major OTT platform has bought the rights of the movie, its makers took to social media to deny the news as "fake news".
Sources tell us that the Cobra team still has a few portions left to be shot. Before they could shoot these portions in Chennai, after returning from their schedule in
Russia
, the
Tamil Nadu government announced a
lockdown
and the shoot had to be stopped. Now, the buzz is that the team has managed to edit most of the portions of the film during this lockdown, and once film shooting is allowed by the government, they will wrap up the production and quickly complete the editing and other post-production works as well. The word on the trade is that Cobra could be the first major Tamil release once theatres are reopened in the state. The film stars
