'Mark Antony' to 'Ratham': Tamil films releasing this September!

August was a successful month for Tamil cinema this year. The most expected film of the year, 'Jailer' was released in theatres and it has completed 25 days of its run in theatres successfully and the movie has made milestone records worldwide. After 'Jailer', this month a couple of Tamil films are set to rock the big screens and it is expected that these movies will also make a good box office collection. Here are the important and big movies in Tamil that are releasing in theatres in September.

Directed by Adhik Ravichandran, Mark Antony is a science fiction time drama starring Vishal and SJ Suryah in dual roles. The cast includes Ritu Varma, Sunil, Selvaraghavan, Abhinaya and Redin Kingsley. The music for the film is composed by GV Prakash Kumar. The trailer of the movie is set to launch today, September 4 and the movie is set to release in theatres on September 15.

Directed by P Vasu, Chandramukhi 2 is the sequel to the horror comedy that starred Rajinikanth and Jyothika in lead roles. The second movie is said to explain the original happenings between Chandramukhi and Vettaiyan Raja. The film stars Raghava Lawrence, Kangana Ranaut, Lakshmi Menon, Srushti Dange, Radhika Sarathkumar, Vadivelu among others in important roles. The music for the film is composed by MM Keeravani. The trailer of the film was launched yesterday, September 3 and the movie is set to release in theatres on September 15.

Directed by I Ahmed, Iraivan is a psychological thriller starring Jayam Ravi, Nayanthara and Rahul Bose in lead roles. The movie is a cop drama and Jayam Ravi plays the role of official who tries to make justice on his own after he nabs a serial killer who murdered 12 girls. The trailer of the film was launched yesterday, September 3 and the movie is set to release in theatres on September 28.

Directed by CS Amudhan, Ratham is an entertainer starring Vijay Antony, Mahima Nambiar, Nandita Shwetha, Ramya Nambesan, Nizhalgal Ravi, John Mahendran, Meesha Goyal among others. The film is said to release in theatres on September 28. The actor took to social media on September 3 to announce that the movie will have a series of promotional videos including music promo, teaser, trailer, audio launch and other following events including a press show and premiere show before the movie release in theatres.
