MA is extraordinary: Ramesh

Actor Ramesh Aravind gets talking to CT on his upcoming Manmadhan Ambu...
MA is extraordinary: Ramesh
He was in the city recently to shoot for Kamal Haasans Manmadhan Ambu (MA) in which he plays a vital role.
For Ramesh Aravind, the versatile actor who has done several memorable roles in Kollywood, MA will be another one of those films in which hell share screen space with the Ulaganayagan. Meanwhile, hes also super busy with films in Kannada.

CT gets chatting with the actor
Manmadhan Ambu......
has been very memorable, just like it has been with other films. The eye for detail in MA is extraordinary. I play Kamals friend in the film and its an important role in the scheme of things. Though it is a typical Kamal Haasan-KS Ravikumar entertainer, my role is intense and involves portraying a lot of emotions. Also, I have a new look in the film and Im looking forward to see how Tamil audiences will react to it! Thats all I can reveal as of now.
Kollywood calling
The talent pool in Tamil cinema has been really good over the last few years. Ive always wished to do more films in Tamil but unfortunately, Ive been extremely busy with Kannada films. However, this time, when I was shooting for MA, K S Ravikumar joked and asked me if I would be coming to Kollywood more often. So yes, Im looking forward to doing more Tamil films in the near future if good roles come by.

Sandalwood v/s Kollywood
The whole market in Tamil is phenomenal and Im amazed by how the industry and Chennai have evolved over the years. But the point is, in any industry, it is ideas that rule. In my opinion, one spark can change an industry. Personally, it feels nice to be part of both Kannada and Tamil cinema; it gives me different perspectives about things. Talent is everywhere; but I also see a lot of it getting wasted, and thats something we have to correct.
Endearing portrayals
I must admit that I havent kept in touch with the Tamil audiences but many people in Chennai remember me for the roles Ive done. They keep telling me that my roles in Rhythm and Kamals films were very endearing. I can speak, write and read Tamil fluently and so, its just a matter of time before I jump into Tamil cinema in a big way.
Direction plans?
Theres nothing on the cards in Tamil as of now, but Id love to do a bilingual (in Tamil and Kannada) with Kamal someday. Im grateful to Kamal for being part of my debut directorial film in Kannada and I hope well work together again.
