KV Anand reminisces interesting techniques used for Mudhalvan

was the cameraman for the film that receoved praise for its visuals too.

While the Digitial Intermediate (

DI

) process came into being only the 2000s, the reminisced how he used certain special film called '

Ektachrome 100

', while shooting for 'Mudhalvan'. The accalimed cinematographer turned director also revealed how he did the

color grading

for the film in the 90s for the film, when a fan quizzed him about it.



Explaing the process, KV Anand posted, "Cinematographer sits with Lab timer,put the film negative on a the Hazeltine which had preview filters with a controlled backlight, and pick exact settings of each printer point for each scene. These settings were fed to the high-speed printer.' (sic)



The political action thriller film had music by AR Rahman.
