Actor Kamal Haasan has reportedly lodged a complaint to police for the screening of his magnum opus 'Vishwaroopam' on grounds that he has been receiving threats that the movie would be pirated and power supply to the cinemas screening it will be suspended. The film will be premiered on DTH on Thursday January 10, followed by a theatrical release on January 11.

"I have been receiving threats that the film will be pirated and electricity supply to the theatres which have decided to telecast it will be suspended. Since these are against the law, I preferred to lodge a complaint with Additional Director General of Police (Law and Order)", Kamal was quoted saying.
Meanwhile the Tamil Nadu theatre owners have decided not to screen any film that will be screened on DTH. Kamal Haasan is fighting a fierce battle with Tamil Nadu Theater Owners Association (TNTOA), who are refusing to screen the film, after its DTH premiere.
