Payal Kapadia became the first Indian filmmaker to win the Grand Prix award at Cannes, and her ‘All We Imagine As Light’ became an Indian movie entering the Cannes red carpet after 30 years.
On the other hand, Anasuya Sengupta became the first Indian to win the Best Actress award at the Cannes Film Festival. She won it for her role Renuka in the film ‘The Shameless’.
