'Jailer 2': Mithun Chakraborty spills beans on Shah Rukh Khan's role alongside Rajinikanth, fans excited

In a recent interview with Bengali media, he said that he was very impressed with the story and cast of 'Jailer 2', He confirmed that he will be starring in the film and revealed some names that will surprise fans.

In an interview with SITI Cinema, when asked about the stories that have captivated him in recent times, Mithun Chakraborty did not hesitate to mention the name 'Jailer 2'. He said, "It is the film which have Superstar Rajinikanth and many senior artists." Along with the cast list he also mentioned the name of bollywood superstar SRK along with Mohanlal, Ramya Krishnan and Shivarajkumar. This all have sent all the fans into a frenzy on social media. But even now there has not been announced by the makers regarding cameo of SRK and also his role.

Rajinikanth returns as Tiger Muthuvel Pandian

Meanwhile, actor Sivarajkumar has confirmed that he has started shooting for 'Jailer 2' and has also said that his role in this installment will be more important than the first film. In this sequel, which will be made after a gap of three years, Rajnikanth will reappear in front of his fans again as ‘Tiger’ Muthuvel Pandian. Ramya Krishnan, who played his wife in the prequel, will also be present to support him. Directed by Nelson, this film is expected to extend the action-comedy genre further beyond the first part.

'Jailer 2' aims June 2026 release

Additionally, Vinayakan, Suraj Venjaramoodu, and Santhanam have also recently confirmed their presence in the cast. Meghna Raj Sarja is making a comeback to Tamil cinema with ‘Jailer 2’ in a lead role. Anna Rajan, who gained attention through ‘Angamaly Diaries’, also features in this film. Anirudh Ravichander is scoring the music. ‘Jailer 2’, produced with a strong technical team including cinematography by Vijay Karthik Kannan and editing by R. Nirmal, has been planned to be released worldwide on June 12, 2026.
