Dharanidharan, the director of Burma and Jackson Durai, has cast Shirish, who played the lead in Metro, as the hero of his next film, which will be a murder mystery set in Chennai. I had originally planned this as my fourth film, but the project that I was supposed to take up as my third film got pushed to May 2017, and so, I decided to take this up as a quickie, says the director.
The yet-to-be-titled film, he reveals, is based on a real-life incident that made it to the newspapers. The pre-production work of the film is presently underway and the team is planning to reveal the first look of the film next week, even though the actual shoot will only happen in December. We are intending to go on floors only by the first or second week of December because rain play crucial role in the script. The entire shoot will get over by March, he assures.
