It’s official: Jackie Shroff joins Rajinikanth’s Jailer

We had recently reported that Bollywood actor Jackie Shroff is all set to share screen space with Rajinikanth once again and that he is mostly likely to be roped in to play a pivotal role in the Superstar’s Jailer, directed by Nelson Dilipkumar. Now, the makers of the film have officially confirmed the same by sharing a picture of Jackie Shroff from the sets of the film.
A majority of Jaggu Dada’s portions will be shot in Hyderabad.Rajinikanth and Jackie Shroff had earlier worked together in the 1987-Hindi film Uttar Dakshin. They had also shared screen space in the photorealistic motion capture film, Kochadaiiyaan, in 2014.

Produced by Sun Pictures, the film is said to be an action thriller and is expected to hit the big screens during 2023 summer. Rajinikanth will be playing jailer Muthuvel Pandian in the film, which has a huge cast consisting of Priyanka Mohan, Shiva Rajkumar, Ramya Krishnan, Yogi Babu, Vasanth Ravi, Vinayakan and others. Popular Malayalam star Mohanlal was also revealed to be playing an important role in the film recently.
