‘Irumbu Thirai’ is my biggest hit, says Vishal

Actor Vishal’s latest release ‘Irumbu Thirai’ has opened to extremely positive responses from critics and audience. The film, which released on May 11, is running to packed houses and has fetched enough moolah for the producers. Now, a Telugu version titled ‘Abhimanyudu’ is slated to release this Friday in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
Speaking at the Telugu press meet, Vishal said that ‘Irumbu Thirai’ has turned out to be the biggest hit of his career. The actor also thanked the Telugu distributors for cancelling the audio launch, which was supposed to take place last week, in view of the Sterlite protest killings that claimed over 13 lives. On the other hand, Samantha Akkineni, who is basking in the success of back-to-back hits, also said she was elated with the film’s glowing success.
Directed by debutant PS Mithran, ‘Irumbu Thirai’ stars Samantha Akkineni as the female lead, while actors Arjun Sarja, Robo Shankar and Delhi Ganesh play important roles. Of the several things, the film is being particularly lauded for its racy screenplay and stellar performances by the lead actors.
