In an exclusive free and frank interview to TOI, Selvaraghavan opened up and said, ���������I have found true love and it is bliss. I will be getting engaged to Geetanjali shortly. She is not from the film industry but she means everything to me.In her, I���������ve found happiness and love.���������
Selvaraghavan has directed five films in Tamil that were considered trendsetters. They made him a celebrity director as the subjects primarily dealt with different facets of love and relationship and were packaged beautifully with trendy music. All this created a buzz around him that helped to create a connect with youth audiences, that forms the bulk of the viewers. Selva, had earlier fallen in love with his heroine Sonia Aggarwal and married her at a high-profile ceremony on 15 December, 2006. After two years, they separated and later got divorced.
The 23-year-old Geetanjali, who has done a course in filmmaking, is now assisting Selva in Irandam Ulagam with Dhanush and Andrea. The grapevine has it that they fell in love during the making of this film. Says Selva, ���������Geetanjali is an angel who came into my life and set it right. I was going through bad times and was not able to concentrate on my work. Geetanjali pulled me out of this pit that I���������d fallen into. She made me a better person.���������
Sources close to the director feel that the girl brought a sea change in him, making him more responsible and professional in his outlook. After she took over the reins of his company, Irandam Ulagam ��������� which was in limbo ��������� has almost been completed and a big Mumbai-based corporate has snapped it up. Selva patched up with Yuvan with whom he had fallen out and now the magic combo will work together. He has also signed a Telugu film with Rana Daggubati, the hot and happening Tollywood star.
Selva confessed, ���������Geetanjali is perfect for me. She radiates positive energy, which has rubbed off on me.��������� When did he realise that he was in love? ���������It still remains a mystery who first said that wonderful line ��������� ���������I love you���������. It sort of happened due to God���������s grace.��������� The buzz is that the couple will be making their first public appearance together for Yuvan Shankar Raja���������s concert this Sunday. Selva and Geetanjali plan to hold a low-profile engagement ceremony soon followed by marriage this June.
