Prashanth was one of the top heroes in the Tamil cinema industry several years back. The attractive actor delivered super hit films and won the love of several fans. But he lost his form and shaded as an actor as years passed. Despite that, the actor's fan base is still strong, and he is set to make a strong comeback with 'Andhagan', the Tamil remake of the Bollywood blockbuster 'Andhadhun'. On today, Prashanth is celebrating his 48th birthday, and social media is loaded with wishes for the talented star. Here are five films of the actor that will excite you for his comeback.

'Jeans'

Prashanth played the dual for the first time in Shankar's directorial 'Jeans'. Even though his dual roles are similar ones, his charming avatars made fans get attracted to him. Interestingly, Prashanth's father in the film Nassar also played a dual role and the romantic drama had Aishwarya Rai as the leading lady. This was also one of the most expensive films which was a great hit at the box office. It was later dubbed in Hindi and Telugu.

'Kannethirey Thondrinal'

Prasanth played a lovely role as a college student in the romantic drama 'Kannethirey Thondrinal', and he paired up with Simran in the film. The romance between the duo worked well, and the lovable film explained the value of relationships in love. The film, which was directed by Ravichandran, also has Karan, Vivek, Vignesh, and Srividya in supporting roles, while the music was scored by Deva.

'Jodi'

After the super hit of 'Kannethirey Thondrinal', Prashanth and Simran again paired up the romantic drama 'Jodi', which was directed by Praveen Gandhi. The well-made romantic drama turned out as a blockbuster, and the director has sent a message about love through the film. The songs were composed by AR Rahman, and the film also has Vijayakumar, Nassar, and Srividya in supporting roles.

'Parthen Rasithen'

The 2000 romantic drama 'Parthen Rasithen', which was directed by Saran, features Prashanth and Laila in lead roles, with Raghava Lawrence and Simran in negative roles. The pleasant songs composed by Bharathwaj were chartbuster hits, and the film turned out as a good hit at the box office. Prashanth played the role of a young man, who desires to reveal his love for a quiet girl played by Laila.

'Winner'

The romantic action drama 'Winner' is also added with comedy scenes of Vadivelu, and Sundar C's directorial is always enjoyable. Prashanth and Kiran played the lead roles, and the film is about a fiery young man's fight to marry his love. Yuvan Shankar Raja has scored the music, while the film was shot in Chennai, Ilanji, and Pollachi areas.
