The actor from becoming a youngster’s favourite to having gained the title ‘Ilaya Thalapathi’ and now ‘Thalapathi’, has grown over the past two decades and has reserved a good place for himself in the Kollywood industry. He is now awaiting the release of his film ‘Varisu’ which is set to release on January 12, 2023, and the movie is facing a partial ban on the Telugu version of the movie to be released in Pongal in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

However, it has now got into trouble, as the Telugu Film Producers Council have placed a partial ban on the Telugu version ‘Varisudu’ to be released on Pongal as they want to prioritize Telugu movie release over other language movies.

Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, the film starred Vijay and Pooja Hegde in lead roles. The action drama was released on April 13, 2021. As the pan-Indian film ‘KGF 2’ was scheduled for release on April 14, to avoid the clash at the opening, ‘Beast’ which was initially planned for release on April 14, was released a day earlier.
