Dhanush to revive his film with Nagarjuna and Aditi Rao Hydari?

There were reports that actor Dhanush's second directorial after his successful directorial debut with 'Pa Paandi' has been dropped. The makers of the film then cleared the rumours saying the film has been put on hold as Dhanush was busy shooting for his films as an actor. Now, the latest is that Dhanush is set to to resume his dream project, which is set in the pre-independence era.

'. While an official statement regarding the film and title is awaited, the project, tentatively titled 'DD 2' had Dhanush playing the lead role with Telugu superstar

Nagarjuna

and actress Aditi Rao Hydari playing an pivotal role in the film.

Bankrolled by Thenandal Studios and touted to be a Tamil-Telugu bulingual, the film also has SJ Suryah, Sarathkumar, Srikanth among others. The film has music by Sean Roldan with Om Prakash and Prasanna GK handling the cinematography and editing respectively.

Earlier last year, talking about the project Nagarjuna was quoted as saying, "It's a period drama and this role is extra special to me because I've attempted something I've never done before. I play a character who goes 600 years back in time. It's an interesting role."

Meanwhile, Dhanush is currently shooting for his film 'Naane Varuven' with his brother and director Selvaragahavan. He also has 'Thiruchitrambalam' with director Mithran Jawahar and the Tamil-Telugu bilingual 'Vaathi' with director Venky Atluri.
