menace and the latest among them seems to be popular
comedian Senthil
. The veteran Tamil comedian has lodged a complaint with city police commissioner regarding a fake social media account in his name on Twitter.
It is said that a mysterious person had started a fake Twitter account in the name of popular comedian Senthil, through which he has posted a defamatory comment against the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister
MK Stalin, against the opening of the
Tasmac
.
Senthil, in his complaint, mentioned that he came across the fake Twitter handle @SenthilComedian after someone tweeted from it on June 12. In addition to taking action against the miscreants, Senthil requested that the fake account be closed as well.
Talking to the reporters, actor Senthil said, "I am someone who minds his own business. Acts of such people cause distress. I have complained to the Cyber Cell and they have assured me that appropriate action would be taken."
It is to be noted that a few days ago, veteran actor
Charlie had lodged a complaint about a fake Twitter profile created with his name and photo. Cybercrime police had that profile taken down within hours as well.
Senthil has acted in over 250 films in Tamil, and his comedy scenes with Goundamani are being celebrated by fans. Senthil is next playing the lead role in a rural drama, which is being directed by 'Oru Kidayin Karunai Manu' fame
