Pandiraj's directorial 'Marina' has several young boys playing main roles with Sivakarthikeyan and Oviya in parallel characters. But post the interval the action drama shifted focus to Chennai and it explains the underbelly of the busy city. The film indirectly mentioned the life of gangsters in Chennai.

'Chennai 600028'
The multi-starrer cricket drama 'Chennai 600028', which was directed by Venkat Prabhu, features Jai, Shiva, Nithin Sathya, Vijayalakshmi, and Ilavarasu in lead roles. The film is about a cricket tournament happening in a specific region in Chennai, and how teams battle to win the title. The sports drama is packed with romance, comedy, action, and sentiment and the film turned out a huge hit.

'Angadi Theru'
