Bejoy's next: Hindi adaptation of Agni Natchathiram

Bejoy Nambiar, whose last film was Wazir, will be working on a Hindi adaptation of Mani Ratnam's classic, Agni Natchathiram, next. According to a source, 'Bejoy is working on a contemporary version of the film. He's got the official rights from Mani Ratnam, and has finished the script. He has not yet decided who the actors will be, and is awaiting an official announcement. This one will be a Hindi film and Bejoy will make the movie in his own style. In fact, when he approached Mani sir, he was pleased, and gave Bejoy his blessings.

There is a rumour about Ajay Devgn working on a remake of Agni Natchathiram, and there are also speculations about a Tamil-Telugu remake of the film with Gautham Karthik and Vikram Prabhu in the lead. The source clarifies that Bejoy's movie has no connection whatsoever with any of these movies/rumours, and that the director is working on the movie independently.
