Bala

Director Bala made his debut in 1999 with the romantic drama 'Sethu' starring Vikram and Abitha in lead roles. The film packed with romance, comedy, action, and emotions turned out to be a favorite for many, and it also had a good theatrical run. Bala had bagged the Filmfare Award, National Award, and other few prestigious awards in his debut. Bala then developed as a leading director in Tamil, and is known for his unique direction skills.

Karthik Subbaraj

Karthik Subbaraj developed himself well by working on short films, and made an impressive debut with the mystery thriller 'Pizza'. Director Karthik Subbaraj surprised the fans with an unbelievable twist, and the film starring Vijay Sethupathi and Ramya Nambeesan published the lead stars well. Karthik Subbaraj then got a chance to work with Rajinikanth for 'Petta', and he is best at delivering gangster dramas.

Mysskin

Director Mysskin improved his skills by working as an associate of famous directors and debuted with the film 'Chithiram Pesuthadi' in 2006. Mysskin's peculiar screenplay won praises, and he started receiving attention from the fans. Then the skilled director continued to deliver some action thrillers in a wonderful way. and secured a position as one of the leading directors.

Sasikumar

Sasikumar worked as an assistant to directors Bala and Ameer, before making his debut with 'Subramaniyapuram' in 2008. He also played the lead role alongside Jai and Swathi in the action drama. Sasikumar won the Filmfare Award for Best Tamil Director, while 'Subramaniyapuram' won Filmfare Award for Best Film. But Sasikumar then continued to do lead roles and directed the only film 'Eesan'.

SP Jananathan

SP Jananathan has worked as an associate to four famous directors and learnt some special skills from them. SP Jananathan then made his directorial debut with the 2003 Tamil 'Iyarkai' starring Sham, Arun Vijay, and Radhika in main roles. SP Jananathan presented a beautiful romantic drama with an unexpected twist at the climax to bag the National Award for Best Feature Film. SP Jananathan then delivered some unique concept films with dominant dialogues to become a popular Tamil director.
