As Udayanidhi Stalin's film career comes to an end, here's look at his journey!

The most anticipated film of the year, 'Maamannan' was released in theatres on June 29. Directed by Mari Selvaraj, the movie stars Udayanidhi Stalin in the lead role. The film is extra special for the actor and producer as it marks his final film. Udayanidhi Stalin has taken a oath as a minister and he has agreed to stay away from the entertainment industry. As the actor's career has come to an end, here's a look at his journey in the film industry.

Udayanidhi Stalin's debut

Udayanidhi Stalin made his debut in the film industry as an actor with the film 'Oru Kal Oru Kannadi'. Directed by M Rajesh the movie starred Udayanidhi, Hansika and Santhanam in the lead role. The actor's first film was a huge commercial success and it gave him a stronghold as an actor in the movie industry. He started acting in 2012 and in over 12 years of his acting career, he has done 15 films which were all a commercial hit.

A successful producer and distributor

Apart from being an actor, Udayanidhi is also a producer and a distributor and runs a huge production house. He has come in support of many small films and big films that has been a massive hit project. The actor even once openly revealed that he took suggestions from the actors while producing movies and agreed that back then he lacked a lot of social and political understanding and that he learnt a lot through the years.

Powerful roles

Udayanidhi Stalin after trying his hands on commercial films took up the opportunity to be part of very serious and social films like 'Nenjuku Needhi' and 'Kalaga Thalaivan' that instilled the thought that the actor apart from comical roles can also excel in serious roles. His films were a success and this helped him as a stepping stone that developed his interest in politics.

His last film - Maamannan

Udyanidhi Stalin will be retiring from the film industry as the actor has taken up full time role as a Minister. He will be focussing on his political career and will have minimum and no connection towards the Tamil entertainment and film industry. His last film is 'Maamannan' and the former actor reportedly said that he is very satisfied with his selection.
