Ang Lee comes to Chennai

Ang Lee, the director behind acclaimed films like Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon and Brokeback Mountain will be in Chennai this Wednesday to promote his forthcoming film Life Of Pi. As part of the film���s promotions, the Oscar-winning filmmaker will be showing exclusive footage at a screening in a popular multiplex. Chennai is the only other city apart from Mumbai that the director will be visiting as part of his promotional tour.
Life Of Pi is based on the Canadian author Yann Martel���s Man Booker Prize-winning novel of the same name and stars Delhi boy Suraj Sharma in the lead.Popular Indian actors like Irrfan, Tabu and Adil Hussain too are part of the film���s cast.
The director has shot some of the scenes in the film in Pondicherry as the film is about a 16-year-old boy from the coastal town who finds himself stranded with a bunch of animal after his ship capsizes. The 3D film is also being dubbed and released in Tamil.
