Andhra Government honors late singer SP Balasubrahmanyan

Andhra Government has decided to honor late singer SP Balasubrahmanyan for his contribution to the entertainment industry by renaming Government School of Music & Dance in Nellore as 'Dr. S P Balasubramanyam Government School of Music & Dance'. The celebrated singer's son Charan thanked the Andhra Government and Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy for this honor. Previously, a dubbing studio in Chennai was named 'SPB' and it was inaugurated by actor Radha Ravi. The members of the dubbing union said that they were proud and happy about it.

SP Balasubrahmanyan, who had tested positive for COVID-19 was admitted to a private hospital in Chennai for treatment. The 74-year aged singer passed away on September 25, even though he was recovered from Coronavirus. Apart from singing, SP Balasubramanyam had also given voice to popular stars across the industry in many Tamil and Telugu films. The demise of SP Balasubramanyam had saddened the film industry and fans.Honoured with Padma Shri and Padma Bhushan, SP Balasubrahmanyan had crooned over 40,000 songs in his enviable career of over five decades.
