Following his commendable performance at the 24-hour endurance race in Dubai, where his team secured third place, Ajith is now competing in a major racing event in Portugal. However, during a practice session, his car met with a severe accident, marking the second mishap after a similar incident in Dubai. Despite the setback, the dedication of his mechanics and team ensured the car was ready for the qualifying round, where Ajith successfully participated.
Speaking about the Portugal race at the event, Ajith expressed his excitement about racing on the same circuit where Formula 1 legend Ayrton Senna achieved his first victory. He remarked, "It’s incredible to race here; it's not an easy circuit, especially the technical final sector. My timing is improving, and I feel proud." Ajith also extended gratitude to his team for their relentless efforts in fixing the damaged car. When asked about the growing spectator interest, Ajith joyfully shared that more people are showing interest in the sport that he holds so close to his heart. "It truly excites me to see them embracing something I love so much," he remarked with a smile. Meanwhile, Ajith's 'Vidaamuyarchi', which is directed by Magizh Thirumeni, was released on February 6, and the film received a tremendous response. 'Vidaamuyarchi' is performing well at the box office, and the suspense thriller nears Rs 150 crores.
