A tale of two friend in Kollywood

And now, the bond between directors Sasikumar and Samuthirakani looks set to join that select club.
Their friendship began during Subramaniapuram days when Sasi cast Samuthirakani in an important role in his film. Not only did the film turn out to be a blockbuster, but the role also earned Samuthirakani several awards.
And then, it was Samuthirakani���������s turn to cast Sasi in his Nadodigal as one of the protagonist.And now, we hear the two directors are working in each other���������s next ventures as well. While Samuthirakani has cast Sasi in his Poraali, he himself will play an important role in Sasi���������s Nagaram. Samuthirakani confirms, ���������I���������m playing a police officer in Nagaram. And, Sasi will be playing an important role in my Poraali.���������
So, is it a mutual agreement that the two of them will act in each other���������s movies? ���������Nothing of that sort,��������� he laughs. ���������When we both did roles in Subramaniapuram and Nadodigal, we didn���������t know that the films would have huge impact. But, that doesn���������t mean we will keep doing a role in each other���������s films. He narrated the story of Nagaram and since I liked the role, I agreed. But, our next movies will not have us playing any characters in them,��������� he adds. Well, not that the audience would complain!
