'Uttama Villain' row
'Uttama Villain' makers filed a petition against Kamal Haasan as the actor failed to sign a film to compensate for the loss of the 2015 release as per the agreement made earlier. But Kamal Haasan kept himself calm over the issue. Ilaiyaraaja's copyright battle with the 'Coolie' team
Rajinikanth's film with Lokesh Kanagaraj has been titled 'Coolie', and the makers unveiled the title teaser to announce the film's title. But the recreation of a line from the vintage song composed by Ilaiyaraaja made the film face trouble. Ilaiyaraaja sent a copyright notice claiming the song's usage in the 'Coolie' title teaser, and he demanded the makers remove the song from the title teaser.
