Critical reception

The film was a blockbuster hit and it was praised for its gripping narrative and timely relevance. As the movie had very less deviation from the main plot, and focussed only on terrorism and how a common man's frustration with the goernment system has bought it to a point of taking the judgement in his own hand, was very well praised.

Theme

The movie's theme focuses on anger, rage and sufferings of a common man who lost his daughter to a terror attack. And the screenplay of the film with a mysterious phone call from a common man with demands to release terrorists, though sounds very common, the ending of why he decided to kill them in a mysterious way kept it interesting.
