The spy thriller ‘Sardar’ featuring Karthi in the lead role is having a successful run at the box office. Directed by PS Mithran, the film was released on October 21. The film clashed at the box office with Sivakarthikeyan’s ‘Prince’; however, it still stood strong and nearly grossed Rs 80 crore in the first week of its release.
The film had huge anticipation and with Karthi playing dual roles in 15 different getups has given the audience some excitement and interest to watch the film. The film has now completed a week in theatres and the film will likely have a successful week 2. Reportedly, the film’s positive reviews are increasing through word of mouth. The movie makers took to social media to announce that ‘Sardar’ is getting good reviews and the number of screens the film will be screened for has increased from 380 to 500 in the second week.
‘Sardar’ and ‘Prince’ were released over the weekend of ‘Diwali’ and with ‘Sardar’ leading the race, the film has emerged as a success and the screen count has been increased for the film screening.
‘Sardar’ is a spy thriller featuring Karthi, Raashi Khanna, and Rajisha Vijayan in the lead roles. The filmmakers have also announced that the movie has a sequel and it will soon start work for the second part of the film at the beginning of next year.
