​Kamal Haasan movies that redefined Indian cinema with vision and versatility​

Dasavathaaram (2008) saw Kamal Haasan play ten distinct roles, a cinematic feat never before attempted in Indian film. Blending science, religion, and politics, the film was a technical landmark that showed Tamil cinema could rival Hollywood-scale storytelling and makeup-driven performances.

Anbe Sivam (2003) tackled themes of socialism, capitalism, and humanism through a road journey narrative. Initially underrated, the film later earned cult status for its ahead-of-time message, with Kamal’s disfigured character symbolising inner beauty in a money-obsessed world.
