Calling all digital filmmakers: Ravi Teja
Impressed with RGV’s style of shooting a film on a zero-budget, Ravi Teja is ready to give dates to anyone who impresses him with a digital film idea.
Maverick filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma has revolutionized the idea of filmmaking with his latest Telugu film titled Dongala Mutha (Gang of thieves). Shot in a record span of 5 days flat with a cast of 8 members and crew of 5, without any generator, lights, equipments or makeup, the film is made on an unbelievable zero-budget.

The only expense incurred in the production of the movie was for the renting of premise which came to around Rs 6.5 lakhs. The actors have not charged a penny and will be getting profit-share from the collections of the film as their remunerations. Shot on a digital camera setup using four Canon 5D cameras, the film is releasing this Friday.
The lead actor of the film, Telugu superstar Ravi Teja is so impressed with RGV’s style of filmmaking that now he has openly invited all aspiring filmmakers and is willing to give dates to anybody who can impress him with their digital film. All the filmmaker has to do is shoot his idea or a few scenes on a digital camera and approach Teja.
Ravi Teja has assured that irrespective of the background of the filmmaker, if he likes the idea presented to him, he shall handle the project thereon. It seems like we will soon get to see more films shot in the digital setup like Dongala Mutha.
