Annapurna Akkineni passes away

Akkineni Annapurna, wife of Akkinneni Nageswara Rao and mother of superstar Nagarjuna breathed her last on Wednesday morning.
She was 79 years-old and had been ailing for a long time. Sources close to the Akkineni family say that she was undergoing dialysis for a long time at a private hospital in the city. Annapurna was born in Denduluru, in West Godavari district and married ANR on February 14, 1949.The couple had even celebrated fifty years of married life in 2009. ANR established the Annapurna Studios in 1976. She is survived by two sons and three daughters.
