Ameer honours K Balachander

Director Ameer is known for his unconventional ways. And that was exactly what the audience present at the multiplex where the audio of director Sasikumar’s next film Eesan was being launched, got to witness.
The director, who was invited to the dias along with a few other directors of repute like Bala, Anurag Kashyap, Ranjith and Yograj Bhatt, began his speech in a conventional manner, giving all praise to God.But what he spoke and did after that was what stumped the audience and the dignitaries present on stage.
Ameer said, “This stage might have great directors, but it will not be complete unless a person who taught us all occupies it along with us. K Balachander sir, whom we all consider a guru, is down there in the audience and my understanding of the situation is that he has compelled director Sasikumar to promise him that he won’t be asked to come on stage.”
He then turned to director Sasi and said, “However, without him, this stage is incomplete. Come Sasi, let us go and get the great teacher to come on stage.”
The two directors then escorted director K Balachander to the stage, much to the delight of all those present.
