“It was meant to be”

Speaking about how Deedar decided to make a career in music, she said, “since childhood, I have been performing on stages, as a singer, and as a Tabla player. The stage is my second home and it became my nature to interact and perform for audiences. I didn’t have to decide, I guess it was meant to be.”

Support of the family

“My family has always been supportive, even more than me. I am lucky enough to be born into this family. I literally had no obstacles in terms of family adjustments. I daily come across struggles in my career but I don’t count them as obstacles, I take them as a part of my journey.”

When was the first time you felt you have made it in the industry?

“After the release of my songs, ‘Maaye’ from the movie ‘Goodbye’ starring Amitabh Bachan and Neena Gupta and ‘Mor Mor’ from the movie ‘Goodluck Jerry’ starring Jahnvi Kapoor, I felt, Waheguru Tera Shukar hai & there’s only looking forward now.”

The trick to handling dark days
