The reason behind the Sufi treatment - 'Jogan Ishq Di'

“Besides my so many peppy numbers I have also done 21 films as composer and songwriter and all the songs, and those songs were situational and not peppy. I have done Sufi and soulful songs in those films few to mention are with Javed Bashir & Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Arman Malik Ankit Tiwari.”

“Further, it’s like when artists generally launch themself they go for peppy and dance numbers but in Tanya’s case she has a deep voice so decided to do a soulful Sufi fusion and she pulled it very well.”

“The biggest change is from physical sales to digital consumption of music”

We asked Harry that since he has been a part of the industry for so long, what significant changes he has seen and you wish to see. To this, Harry replied, “Thank you so much for your kind appreciation. The biggest change is from physical sales to digital consumption of music as there is the free availability of music on most of the platforms. It has made consumers like and dislike it by clicks. Another change is the number of views which can make any artist big or small on the basis of views in my viewpoint it has brought a big change in creativity where artists feel stressed.”

What keeps your engine running for making songs?

"It is my love for music and hunger to keep learning more. Let me make it more simple music is my lifeline. By god’s grace, I am a music producer/composer/singer/video director so all of this get in sync and keep me moving. I see my song going through various creative zones within me”

A song that struck a chord with you instantly

“It has to be our latest song. It has a malang feel to it when the hook line hits you -“ Jogan tere ishq di jogan banale”. So it gives a feeling of love with god and yaar. I am sure everyone is going to love it.”
