Happy Birthday Jaani: Here's how the Punjabi lyricist owns 2022
The ‘Hit Machine’ of the Punjabi music world Jaani has turned a year older today. He is a Punjabi artist who has made even the Bollywood and Hindi music industry fall for his words. And though the list of his achievements is quite long, we thought on his special day, why not compile the things he earned in 2022 so far.

Jaani is gradually making his way into the world of acting
We saw Jaani making his debut in acting through his own song video ‘Titliyan Warga’ alongside Harrdy Sandhu. From there perhaps he developed a taste for acting, and thereafter, we saw him doing a cameo in ‘Qismat 2’ in 2021. After that, there was silence, we didn’t hear anything about his acting venture, until yesterday. Yes, yesterday, Punjabi actor and wrote Naresh Kathooria took to his social media handle to announce that Jaani will be seen doing a role in the upcoming Pollywood comedy-drama ‘Honeymoon’. Starring Gippy Grewal and Jasmin Bhasin in the lead, the movie will reportedly have Jaani playing a pivotal role. The film will be out in September.

His first Bollywood song came out in 2022
Jaani has penned a number of Hindi songs like ‘Barish Ki Jaye’, ‘Filhall’, and more, and in the Bollywood industry, we have seen the revamped versions of his several songs like ‘Naah’, ‘Soch’, so on and so forth. And it would not be wrong to say that his Punjabi songs were one of the first ones to enjoy popularity in Bollywood. However, his first original song in Bollywood came out this year only. He wrote two songs - ‘Meri Jaan Meri Jaan’ and ‘Saare Bolo Bewafa’ for the Akshay Kumar starrer ‘Bachchhan Paandey’. Both the tracks were sung by his close friend and one of the best singers we have in the industry - B Praak.

He became father to a baby boy
Besides achieving new heights on the professional front, Jaani got promoted in his personal life as well. Earlier, he was only a caring husband, but now he is also a loving father. On May 2nd, he welcomed home his baby boy. Meera Bachan, B Praak’s wife took to her social media handle to share this news with the netizens, as we all know that Jaani is quite shy and reserved when it comes to sharing bits and parts of his personal life on social media.

His songs from 'Lekh' garnered an overwhelming response
Now coming back to his professional life, this year the movie ‘Lekh’ came out, and as much as the film got love, more than that its music garnered appreciation. All the songs of ‘Lekh’ were written by Jaani, and within hours of their release, they started trending on the music charts. Also, though after ‘Lekh’ a number of movies came out, the impact that the songs of this film had and still have on the audience is unmatchable.
