Diljit Dosanjh is one of the Punjabi stars whose shows are known to go houseful or sold out internationally. The news of him entertaining the international audience nowadays is a very generic thing for both him and his fans. However, the news that turned the heads of his fans was the one that said it out loud - ‘desi turbanator on Times Square’. Diljit Dosanjh featured on the New York Times Square Billboards for his album ‘G.O.A.T’. He was really overwhelmed by this achievement and talking about the same to a national daily, Diljit said it feels great to be addressed as a global sensation by his fans.

​Himanshi Khurana

Himanshi Khurana became the first Punjabi female singer to be featured on the New York Times Square. Her song ‘Surma Bole’ helped her garner this love and honor. Her fans, family, and all other loved ones were filled with joy on getting this news. Even Himanshi was overjoyed. “It was indeed a proud moment. Somewhat felt like a wish from my bucket list got ticked. I am extremely overwhelmed and feel grateful to have made a mark out there,” she said while talking to ETimes.

The girl with a golden voice, the power-packed singer of Punjab, Afsana Khan was also featured on the billboards of Times Square. The ‘Titliyan’ fame songster was more than elated on getting this honor and called it her biggest achievement. She shared a long note on social media that read - “Biggest achievement #AfsanaatnewYork #timessquare �� Main kade sochiya ni si ki main kade ethe pahunchungi. Mehnat ajj rang leayi hai. Sab toh pehlan shukar Parmatma da eh din dikhaun lai ����.
