Perfect ingredients make a perfect dish and similarly, popular on-screen couples make the film a hit at the box-office. Luckily, Punjabi film industry has got some of the perfect jodis who, whenever team up in front of the camera, is known to set the cash register ringing at the box-office. Here we give you a rundown of some top on-screen pairs of Pollywood who are known to give blockbusters.

Diljit Dosanjh and Neeru Bajwa

The pair of Punjabi heartthrob Diljit Dosanjh and Pollywood queen Neeru Bajwa has been known to create wonders on the screen. Some of their best works include ‘Jine Mera Dil Luteya’ ‘Jatt & Juliet’, ‘Jatt & Juliet 2’ and ‘Sardaar Ji’. All these movies were lauded by both critics and audience. In fact, ‘Jatt & Juliet 2’ even outruns the business of its first installment at the box-office. The fans can never get enough of Diljit and Neeru and are waiting for another movie that will feature the two.

Gippy Grewal and Sonam Bajwa

Gippy Grewal and Sonam Bajwa were recently seen in the hysterical film ‘Carry On Jatta 2’. In the first part, it was Mahie Gill who starred opposite Gippy, but owing to her tight schedule Sonam was roped in for the second installment. The movie broke all the box-office records and the chemistry of Gippy and Sonam was appreciated by one and all. Well, this is not the first time Gippy and Sonam got love as an on-screen couple. The duo was first seen in ‘Best Of Luck’ and later in 2016 released ‘Manje Bistre’, and both the times they earned high appreciations.

Amrinder Gill and Sargun Mehta

Sargun Mehta entered the Punjabi film industry in 2015 with the movie ‘Angrej’. The film starred her opposite the Punjabi singer-actor, Amrinder Gill. It was a huge success and the duo of Amrinder and Sargun gained a lot of love. Since then, wherever the two have come up on the camera, they have only given super hit movies. Last, the duo was seen in ‘Lahoriye’, 2017 released a movie that showcased two people from different religions and country fighting all the odds to be together. The movie made both Gill and Mehta win the black lady for their work.

Diljit Dosanjh and Sonam Bajwa

Another on-screen pair that brings up the best of cinematic work is Diljit Dosanjh and Sonam Bajwa. The two were first seen in the period drama ‘Punjab 1984’. The story revolved around the effect of Punjabi insurgency. They both played their part very convincingly and made their way into the audience's heart in no time. Thereafter, they paired up for ‘Sardaar Ji 2’. The success of the movie can be marked from the fact that it made more collection at the box-office than the first installment. Besides, Sonam and Diljit also did the first Punjabi superhero movie ‘Super Singh’ and graced the screen with their cute chemistry.

Amrinder Gill and Aditi Sharma

Amrinder Gill and Aditi Sharma were recently seen doing a cameo in ‘Golak Bugni Bank Te Batua’. They appeared for a short role but left an impact on the audience. Just like Sargun Mehta, Aditi Sharma made her debut with ‘Angrej’ opposite Amrinder Gill. Though their love story doesn’t meet a happy ending owing to the twist of the plot, the two looked really cute together. Both Amrinder and Aditi are blessed with an innocent look on their faces, which makes their pair all the more adorable.
