Gurnam Bhullar’s debut as the lead in Pollywood

After garnering love and fame in the Punjabi music world, the ‘Diamond’ fame singer Gurnam Bhullar is making his way to Pollywood as the main male protagonist with ‘Guddiyan Patole’. Before hitting the screen as the lead star, he made a guest appearance in ‘High End Yaariyan’. His work was lauded by one and all. However, his guest appearance showed his dark side, while his upcoming debut movie will present his innocent side as evident from the trailer of the movie.

3/6

Gurnam Bhullar and Sonam Bajwa’s chemistry

Punjabi audience is known to accept new on-screen pairing with both arms wide open and with ‘Guddiyan Patole’ a fresh reel couple is being introduced - Gurnam Bhullar and Sonam Bajwa. Though both the artists are working together for the first time, their on-screen chemistry talks otherwise. Right from the scenes that show the two indulging into little cute tiffs, to the songs that bring forth the romance, everything hints that this jodi is here to stay.

4/6

The music that can be played on a loop

Talking of songs, the movie ‘Guddiyan Patole’ has been backed by an amazing soundtrack. Right from the title track of the film to the romantic love ballad ‘Mohobbat’, every song of the movie is worth playing on a loop. Gurnam Bhullar, Ammy Virk and Gurlez Akhtar have crooned the playlist of the movie; thus, any Punjabi music lover would not say no to this tracklist for sure.

5/6

Sonam Bajwa’s never before seen avatar

It’s not just about Sonam Bajwa’s curly hair look alone, but the character that she will be portraying in the movie. Though she has been seen as an urban cool girl next door earlier as well, the level of swag, confidence and carefree attitude she is donning in ‘Guddiyan Patole’ is something the audience has not seen before. Moreover, the trailer also shows that her character has got a lot of meat and thus, it would be a delight to catch the same. So, it would not be wrong to say that the movie might work as a milestone in Sonam Bajwa’s career.

6/6

The story that brings two different generations closer

The story of ‘Guddiyan Patole’ has been written by Jagdeep Sidhu. He is famous for penning classic Punjabi rom-coms like ‘Nikka Zaildar’ and ‘Qismat’. The latter has been one of the highest grossing Punjabi movies of 2018, which even marked the debut of Jagdeep as Pollywood director. With ‘Guddiyan Patole’ he has not only brought forward a romantic comedy, but also a plot that shows two poles apart generations trying to sort their differences. From the trailer, one can see how grandkids, Sonam Bajwa and Tania, pull their granny Nirmal Rishi out of the family chaos and take her for a modern and relaxing refuge. Thus, this plot is worth watching for sure.
