Earlier this month, Ammy Virk made headlines owing to the release of his movie 'Puaada'. The film enjoyed a great run at the box office and garnered a lot of love and appreciation. Thereafter, when his other movie 'Qismat 2' started coming into the limelight, the actor landed in a controversy. Some comments made by the makers of 'Qismat 2' reportedly didn't go down well with the farmers’ protest, and thus, both the movie and Ammy are being trolled. However, Ammy Virk in many of his interviews said that he signed the movie way before the farmers' protest began. He mentioned according to the contract he was obligated to do the film. The actor has always been in support of the farmers and their protest, and thus the trolling is really hurting his sentiments.

Musical artist Yo Yo Honey Singh has been in the news for all the wrong reasons. After being married for a decade, his wife Shalini Singh filed a domestic violence case against the singer. She has asked for Rs 10 crore compensation under the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act. According to the reports she said that she was bring treated like a farm animal.

Punjabi lyricist Jaani turned heads this month as he marked his acting debut. He was seen featuring in the title track of 'Qismat 2' alongside Sargun Mehta. Jaani posed as Sargun Mehta's groom in the wedding sequence of the songs. Reports suggest that in the movie, the audience will get to see more of Jaani.

Parmish Verma has been known to grab attention because of his professional projects, but this month he made headlines for some other reasons. This month Parmish Verma introduced netizens to his special lady Guneet aka Geet Grewal. He wrote a post of appreciation for her when she won the nomination of the Liberal Party of Canada and then shared a love-soaked post on her birthday as well. Diljit Dosanjh released his much-awaited album 'Moon Child Era' in the month of August. The audios of all his songs have made it to the music charts and the video of two tracks - 'Intro - The Chosen One' and 'Lover' have also been released. His next plan of action includes the video release of 'Black & White'. It will be out on September 2.
