Kedar Divekar wins National Award for his music in 'Jyoti'

At the 66th National Film Awards for the year 2018, a lot of Marathi movies received National Awards in various categories. This shows how Marathi movie industry is clearly all about good content and great execution. Be it acting, direction or music, Marathi movies is clearing giving out the best to the audience. One such film is Jyoti which received the National Award for its music direction.The film's music director Kedar Divekar won the National Award in the Best Music Direction category. Divekar received a sum of Rs 50, 000 and Rajat Kamal for his fabulous music direction. His music was highly appreciated for his use of folk and traditional verse and music to suitably build on this 19^th century tale of women’s education. The short film is based on story of a girl named Jyoti and how she thinks way ahead of time.
