Mitraa

Mitraa marks the silver screen debut of poet Sandeep Khare. The Ravi Jadhav film is based on a poem 'Atasha nakoshe vatate' by Sandeep Khare and Vijay Tendulkar's story 'Mitraa'. Mitraa is about a lesbian relationship and features Veena Jamkar and Mrunmayee Deshpande in prime roles apart from Khare.

Gajjendra Ahirey has a fascination for thumris and ghazals and he takes it to another level with this short based on Mirza Ghalib's poem. Neena Kulkarni and Suhas Palshikar play the lead roles of two fading classical singers who meet by chance.

Ek Hota Kau

Kushal Badrike, otherwise famous for his comic roles, takes on a serious character in this Viju Mane film based on Saumitra's (actor Kishor Kadam) poem. Spruha Joshi plays the female lead. Apart from a beautiful story, the film boasts of a song adapted from Sant Dnyaneshwar's abhang 'Pailtoge Kau' and sung by Sparsh vocalist Soham Pathak.

Based on Loknath Yashwant's poem, this film starring Mangesh Desai and Smita Tambe deals with the issue of farmer suicide. It has been directed by Girish Mohite and also has a song written by Guru Thakur and sung by Prasenjit Kosambi.
